Quick Review – Ruff Wear Climate Changer Fleece Jacket

I’ll be honest - I’m biased towards Ruff Wear Gear.  They’re dedicated to dog gear and they make outstanding products.  This weekend, I got a chance to try out the new Climate Changer Fleece Jacket and as usual, I wasn’t disappointed.

We took a cold upper-Midwest camping trip to a new campground at Harrington Beach State Park along Lake Michigan in Wisconsin.  The weather was clear but cold – down to 28 degrees – perfect for the Climate Changer.  To keep out Lab a little warmer, she wore the jacket overnight on Friday and from about 8pm Saturday to 10 am Sunday.  The jacket fit and moved well.  It didn’t show any piling and the locking zipper stayed locked the entire time.

It’s a standard fleece so you’ll want to use it in dry weather.  The insulation it ads is great.  I found myself sticking my cold hands in the dog’s jacket to warm up!
